You will need to have 2% of the purchase price in genuine savings to be eligible for a Keystart loan. You can use the First Home Owners' Grant to contribute to your deposit and loan fees. The balance of the Grant can be used for other purposes.
You'll also welcome how we assess your income. Keystart can be
more flexible than traditional financial institutions when it
comes to assessing income. For instance: we take into account
all your earnings including wages, salary, family tax benefit, Centrelink payments
and child maintenance received. (Please note that some of this income will not be used once your child turns 12 years old).
Our flexibility for assessing income
also extends to making special calculations for people in part-time
or casual employment and those whose income is in the form of
regular commission.
The maximum assessed income for eligibility is $120,000 per household and the interest rate is variable, which at 22 December 2009 is 6.62% per annum. Click here to download Comparison Rate Schedules.
