Regional Criteria Changes
Friday, 23rd December 2016
The Keystart Chairman Glyn Yates says there’s good news for homebuyers in the Kimberley and Pilbara. The maximum property purchase price in the regions has increased from $500,000 to $650,000 and the deposit requirement has dropped to 7%.
“With property prices in both regions at their most affordable in years, the door is open for owner-occupiers to get into the market. There could also be FIFO workers choosing to relocate their families to the region because it is now a reasonably priced option,” Mr Yates added.
Since 1989, Keystart has helped almost 100,000 Western Australians into a home of their own and today’s lending criteria changes mean it will continue to play an important role in the State Government's Affordable Housing Strategy
